Software Engineer (Fintech, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves developing and maintaining features within the Accounting product areas, contributing throughout the development lifecycle, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver secure solutions. Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including algorithms and data structures.
• Willingness to learn and work with proprietary tools and frameworks, particularly the APL programming language.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional programming language, with C# being advantageous.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and trunk-based development.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to navigate complex accounting domains related to financial instruments.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with cloud technologies and the fintech sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features in the Accounting product areas.
• Engage in the entire development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to ongoing support.
• Collaborate with teammates, Product Managers, and Architects to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Create and maintain test cases and automated tests to meet acceptance criteria.
• Uphold engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deepen understanding of the Accounting domain and its impact on customer outcomes.
• Be open to feedback and participate in knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills

• Software engineering fundamentals, algorithms, data structures.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.
