Software Engineer (Fintech, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves developing and maintaining features in the Accounting product areas for a leading financial technology firm. The position is integral to supporting major financial institutions by simplifying their investment and accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• Willingness to learn and work with in-house tools and frameworks, particularly the APL programming language.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional programming language, with C# being advantageous.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and trunk-based development.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken (upper-intermediate or higher).
• Experience in cloud technologies and the fintech domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features in the Accounting product areas.
• Contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to ongoing support.
• Collaborate with teammates, Product Managers, and Architects to deliver secure solutions.
• Create and maintain test cases and automated tests to ensure feature acceptance criteria are met.
• Uphold engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Gain a deep understanding of the Accounting domain and how products support customer outcomes.
• Be open to feedback and knowledge sharing within the team.
