Site Supervisor (Construction, Denmark)

Job summary

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a specific section of the construction site, ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications. This role involves coordinating with other supervisors and maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising construction teams on medium-scale projects
• Trade or technical background with site supervision experience
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety training
• Temporary works and excavation safety training
• Working at heights and scaffolding training
• Lifting and cranage operations training
• Awareness of BIM strategy and construction technology

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities within a designated section of the site
• Lead Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to ensure tasks meet quality requirements
• Monitor subcontractor and workforce performance for compliance with contract specifications
• Implement and maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality practices
• Maintain accurate records including daily logs and inspection reports
• Support General Site Supervisor in planning and resource allocation
• Identify risks and escalate issues as necessary
• Participate in site briefings and toolbox talks
• Mentor junior site staff and promote continuous improvement initiatives

• Organizational skills for planning and prioritizing activities
• Understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements

Education

• Relevant diploma or degree in construction or engineering is desirable
• Completion of internal management program is a plus
• Project management qualification or course is a plus
