Senior/Chief Design Manager (Aviation, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Aviation Department is seeking an experienced Senior/Chief Design Manager to lead airfield projects in Denmark and internationally. This role involves overseeing technical design work, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, focusing on civil works or similar
• Over 10 years of experience with airfield projects
• At least 5 years of experience as a Design Manager
• Strong knowledge of airfield projects and operations
• Experience with complex multidisciplinary airfield projects
• Proactive and dedicated
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages, including Danish, are a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee and approve technical design work for airfield projects, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements
• Lead design teams and coordinate with external consultants and contractors to deliver solutions on time and within budget
• Establish technical governance and quality assurance processes, resolving complex technical issues
• Maintain knowledge of aviation regulations and industry best practices, translating them into design standards
• Represent the company in client meetings and support business development efforts
