Senior/Chief Design Manager (Aviation, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Aviation Department is seeking a Senior/Chief Design Manager to lead airfield projects in Denmark and internationally. This role involves overseeing technical design work, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, focusing on civil works or similar
• Over 10 years of experience with airfield projects
• At least 5 years of experience as a Design Manager
• Strong knowledge of airfield operations and complex multidisciplinary projects
• Proficient communication skills in English; additional languages, including Danish, are a plus

Responsibilities

• Approve technical design work for airfield projects, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements
• Lead and coordinate design teams and external consultants to deliver efficient solutions
• Establish technical governance and quality assurance processes
• Stay updated on aviation regulations and industry best practices
• Represent the organization in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts
