Senior Software Engineer (Remote, Denmark)

Job summary

This role is for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Node.js and AWS, focusing on building scalable, distributed systems in a cloud-native environment. The position emphasizes strong ownership throughout the development lifecycle and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of production experience with TypeScript and Node.js (ESM).
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS CDK v2 and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Deep knowledge of the AWS serverless ecosystem, including Lambda, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to define effective technical solutions, balancing scope and quality.
• Design system architecture and translate it into actionable implementation plans.
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and AWS technologies.
• Implement DevOps practices for monitoring, logging, and security.
• Deploy and support production systems, ensuring reliability and availability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot distributed systems across AWS infrastructure.
• Continuously improve system performance and reduce technical debt.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and conduct code reviews.

Skills

• Experience with Linux administration and observability tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with GPU instance management and AWS analytics tools is advantageous.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.
