Senior Software Engineer (Backend, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves working on the Consent Service team, focusing on enhancing the architecture and reliability of a critical consent management platform that ensures privacy for users across various digital products. The position requires a senior backend engineer who is interested in leveraging AI to improve engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development using C# and .NET (latest LTS).
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, including message contracts and eventual consistency.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) in a production environment.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of web security and authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate services on the consent management platform, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Maintain a robust test suite treated as production code, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate compliance requirements into well-engineered systems.
• Experiment with AI to enhance engineering workflows, including code review and testing.
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Participate in on-call duties during peak seasons.

Skills

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (CDK) and CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Experience with high-throughput systems and performance tuning.
• Curiosity about AI applications in engineering processes.
• Some experience with TypeScript/Node.js for cross-stack contributions.
• Exposure to big data platforms and local cloud emulation tools.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not explicitly stated.
