Senior Rust Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

We are looking for a Senior Rust Engineer with extensive experience in trading systems and strong knowledge of AWS to join a core division focused on Capital Markets. This fully remote role requires a candidate passionate about the Rust ecosystem and capable of designing, building, and operating mission-critical trading systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production-grade Rust, particularly in high-performance, concurrent systems; familiarity with Tokio is a plus.
• Background in systematic trading environments such as HFT, Market Making, or Quantitative Trading, with a solid understanding of execution, market data, and operational risk.
• Strong expertise in AWS and Linux, including cloud infrastructure considerations for latency-sensitive workloads, shell scripting, and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for strategy development and automation.
• Familiarity with trading system protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket), exchange connectivity, and market data feeds.
• Understanding of low-latency networking concepts and techniques.
• Experience with agentic engineering tools and concepts, including AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize low-latency trading systems.
• Own key components of the trading stack from architecture to production operation.
• Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to enhance trading performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve trading infrastructure focusing on performance and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues related to exchange connectivity and market data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through technical leadership and mentoring.
• Contribute to testing for critical trading components.
