Senior Quantum Laser Systems Specialist

Job summary

This role involves leading the development, assembly, and testing of custom laser systems for quantum applications. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure successful project delivery from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science or engineering, preferably in a photonics research environment (PhD preferred)
• Several years of experience in photonics-based quantum computing or sensing applications in an industrial setting
• Proven ability to translate quantum application requirements into laser system specifications

Responsibilities

• Capture customer requirements and translate them into specialized fiber laser systems
• Develop light generation, processing, and delivery systems
• Ensure manufacturability and scalability of laser systems
• Support the development of complex electronics control systems
• Contribute to new technology development and IP generation

Skills

• Deep understanding of lasers, light amplification, non-linear frequency conversion, and photonic integrated circuits
• Hands-on expertise in free-space and fiber optics
• Project management and team leadership experience
• Programming skills, preferably in Python
• Fluent in English

Education

• Minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field, PhD preferred
