Senior QA Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining test strategies and plans for backend services and distributed systems, ensuring quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in QA or software testing, particularly in backend and API testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for backend services.
• Create automated testing frameworks and scripts for RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality risks and deliver solutions.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot incidents.
• Lead improvements in AI engineering capabilities and testing processes.

Skills

• Proficient in API testing, with hands-on experience in Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous testing.
• Familiarity with relational databases, caching technologies, and message queues.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Tools

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
