Senior QA Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves ensuring the quality of software releases through both manual and automated testing processes. You will participate in the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final testing and launch, while being empowered to influence quality decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of testing experience
• Strong understanding of various testing types including unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, stress/performance, and API testing
• Experience with manual testing for Web, Android, iOS, and APIs
• Proficiency in web debugging and API testing tools such as Chrome DevTools and Postman
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Familiarity with automation testing for mobile apps (Android and iOS) and web apps (Selenium/Playwright)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Familiarity with Jira and Jenkins is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Conduct black box, white box, integration, and performance testing for Web and mobile platforms
• Track, record, and analyze product issues, providing feedback for improvements
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and reports based on feature requirements
• Simulate user scenarios to ensure comprehensive testing
• Engage in team discussions to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
• Create and maintain automated test cases for Web, Mobile, and APIs
• Enhance the Continuous Integration pipeline and automate software engineering processes
• Review designs and code, offering constructive feedback
• Mentor junior team members and identify opportunities for quality process improvements

Skills

• Proficient in Python and experienced in automation testing
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB, is a plus

Education

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering is preferred

Tools

• Experience with AWS, Jenkins, K8S, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Android Studio, XCode, MySQL, MongoDB, and various testing tools.
