This senior role is responsible for overseeing the governance and delivery of a portfolio of programs and cross-functional initiatives within an IT context. The position requires strategic alignment, execution predictability, and value realization through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Govern portfolio and program operations, including prioritization, approval flows, and rebalancing based on strategy and performance.
  • Provide oversight of programs, ensuring delivery health and managing dependencies.
  • Lead and develop the delivery organization through coaching and performance management.
  • Establish delivery standards and frameworks, ensuring quality controls are in place.
  • Coordinate capacity and resource planning across programs in collaboration with finance.
  • Drive financial governance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance management.
  • Manage risks and issues across programs, maintaining visibility and enforcing mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-program conflicts and manage dependencies across domains.
  • Ensure benefits realization with defined outcomes and tracked KPIs.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and decision support through dashboards and status narratives.

Skills

  • Proficiency in portfolio, program, and delivery management practices.
  • Strong financial governance skills, including budgeting and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of risk management and delivery controls.
  • Familiarity with various delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Proficient in PPM tools and reporting software.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
