Senior Packaging Engineer

Job summary

The role involves optimizing and implementing sustainable packaging solutions across multiple dairies, collaborating with various teams and suppliers to meet compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in packaging optimization within the food sector or a similar hands-on packaging background.
• Technical, engineering, science, or quality background; knowledge in chemistry or biochemistry is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder and project management skills with clear communication in English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
• Practical knowledge of packaging materials and food packaging requirements; proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in contract manufacturing and food production environments is a plus.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30–40 days internationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive the optimization and implementation of profitable, sustainable, and functional packaging solutions.
• Plan, execute, and document packaging line trials to ensure smooth implementation.
• Manage customer and retailer requirements throughout the packaging optimization lifecycle.
• Maintain packaging documentation in the database according to established procedures.
• Coordinate activities across countries and suppliers for designated packaging types.
• Identify and promote continuous improvements in processes and practices.

Education
