Senior Manager, PCS & Application Engineering (Biopharma, Søborg)

Job summary

This role involves leading the PCS & Application Engineering team to enhance automation solutions for biopharmaceutical production. The position combines technical leadership with people development, focusing on driving digital transformation and ensuring compliance in a GMP-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (e.g., DeltaV), SCADA, and PLC solutions.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GAMP 5, EU Annex 11, Data Integrity, and Computer System Validation.
• Experience managing the lifecycle of GMP-critical automation systems.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity principles and OT network architecture is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the PCS & Application Engineering team to support business growth.
• Define and implement the digitalization and application automation roadmap.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and QA to deliver compliant automation solutions.
• Ensure compliance of Process Control Systems and automation platforms throughout their lifecycle.
• Drive improvements to automation standards and engineering procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support GMP inspections and audits while staying updated on pharmaceutical automation trends.
