Senior Information Architect (Logistics, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves shaping the global Enterprise Information Model to support a data-driven organization. The position is part of a Business and Information Architecture team focused on defining and governing enterprise-wide data models that enhance operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in information architecture and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in ERD and/or ORM modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry.
• Understanding of data contracts, naming conventions, and data standardization.
• Experience with both transactional and analytical data environments.
• Familiarity with data serialization concepts (e.g., Avro or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and document global conceptual and logical data models.
• Analyze business processes and domains for accurate modeling.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices in information architecture.
• Communicate the data model effectively to stakeholders across business and IT.
• Guide IT teams in implementing the Enterprise Information Model within the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Support integration planning for consistent and effective data usage across systems.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field is preferred.

Skills

• 6+ years of experience in master data management, data cataloging, and data governance.
• Ability to quickly understand complex business domains in transportation and logistics.
• Certifications in information architecture or data modeling are a plus.

Tools

• Familiarity with data modeling tools and enterprise data platforms.
