Senior Engineer II - Validation

Job summary

This role involves contributing to the validation of advanced connectivity devices within a technical team focused on Networking and Connectivity Solutions. The position requires participation in the development and execution of validation strategies and test plans, as well as performing lab-based validation for high-speed connectivity devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in high-speed digital design/testing, analog/mixed-signal design/testing, systems design/testing, or power IC design/testing.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to develop hardware design specifications based on stakeholder input.
• Proficient with electronics lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Self-motivated and capable of working collaboratively or independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation strategies and test plans aligned with product requirements and market needs.
• Conduct lab-based validation, including design bring-up and interoperability testing for high-speed connectivity devices.
• Analyze and communicate validation results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the design of test environments and specifications.
• Collaborate with various teams including Design, Verification, and Product Engineering.
• Support customer issue reproduction and escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement of validation processes and best practices.

Skills

• Understanding of high-speed connectivity protocols such as Ethernet, USB, or PCI-Express.
• Experience with schematic and layout reviews for silicon validation.
• Familiarity with Python-based automation for validation and data analysis.

Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Tools

• Electronics lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer).
• JIRA for debug workflows.
