Senior Engineer

Job summary

The role involves managing the engineering function and providing leadership for projects. The Senior Engineer coordinates with the line manager and oversees the engineering team, ensuring adherence to quality procedures and project specifications. Responsibilities include managing survey equipment, conducting as-built surveys, creating Inspection & Test Plans, and handling Non-Conformance procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Temporary Works Coordinator training
• Lifting Operations basic awareness course
• A61 CPCS Lifting Operations Appointed Persons course
• Scaffold awareness/inspection
• Familiarity with planning and programming software

Responsibilities

• Oversee dimensional control and manage survey equipment
• Ensure completion of as-built surveys and analyze tolerances
• Maintain daily diaries and manage quality control processes
• Create and review method statements and risk assessments
• Control Non-Conformance procedures and manage permits for ground breaking
• Identify missing information and manage the RFI process

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital information systems (e.g., A-Site, Viewpoint for Projects)
• Significant experience in design management and technical exposure in piling, geotechnical, and substructures
