Job summary

As a Senior DSP Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing audiological solutions that enhance communication for individuals with hearing loss. You will work within a cross-functional team to transform DSP concepts into practical hearing aid solutions.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Audiology Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong experience in DSP and real-time audio processing
  • Knowledge of hearing science, psychoacoustics, or auditory modelling
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively across disciplines

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize DSP algorithms and audiological features for hearing instruments
  • Explore new concepts through modeling, simulation, and performance evaluation
  • Collaborate with embedded software engineers to implement algorithms in real-time products
  • Support verification, testing, and validation activities to ensure high-quality user experiences
  • Contribute to system design, requirements, and technical investigations for hearing aid solutions
  • Work closely with stakeholders across R&D to deliver innovative, user-focused products

Skills

  • Experience with embedded DSP (C/C++) is a plus
  • Familiarity with machine learning for perceptual modeling
  • Knowledge of blind and music source separation techniques
  • Understanding of perceptual audio rendering and mixing
  • Experience with acoustic measurements or clinical/subjective testing
  • Involvement in patent generation or state-of-the-art analysis

Education

  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical field is required.
