Senior Director of Global Warehouse Management Systems (Logistics, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the global Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) strategy and operations, overseeing a large team of IT professionals in the Contract Logistics sector. The position requires a strong focus on aligning technology with business objectives to drive transformation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing large, multi-layered organizations (100+ FTEs) in international settings.
• Proven strategic leadership skills with a history of driving transformation and performance improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of WMS, 3PL solutions, warehouse technologies, logistics automation, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with KPIs, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across diverse cultures and organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the global WMS IT strategy and roadmap in line with enterprise objectives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and key stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver business value.
• Lead and develop a global WMS organization, ensuring clear direction and accountability.
• Manage budget, resource planning, and financial governance for efficiency and cost optimization.
• Establish governance and performance management across a complex IT landscape.
• Ensure compliance, security, and system performance standards are met.
• Drive the transformation of the WMS portfolio, including migrating from legacy systems to modern platforms.
