Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves designing, building, and managing scalable Azure cloud environments for cloud-native applications, focusing on DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.

Qualifications

• Over 6 years of experience in DevOps and cloud engineering, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Azure services, including VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, and storage solutions.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
• Solid background with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in production settings.
• Familiarity with Azure API Management, Application Gateway, Front Door, and Event Hubs.
• Understanding of cloud security practices and tools.
• Proficient in automation scripting with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Azure certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Azure infrastructure using Bicep for lifecycle management.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps YAML.
• Manage Azure Kubernetes Service, including scaling and optimization.
• Implement Azure API Management and Application Gateway for application delivery.
• Support event-driven architectures with Azure Event Hubs.
• Ensure production environment reliability and lead incident response.
• Enforce security and governance practices in Azure.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance CI/CD workflows.
• Develop automation scripts and tools for operational efficiency.
