Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data products and platforms that enhance data-driven decision-making within the retail and e-commerce sector. This role involves leading the development of scalable data pipelines and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with various teams to support innovative AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a proven track record in production data platforms.
• Strong proficiency in cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and data integration tools.
• Advanced programming skills in SQL and Python, with experience in data pipelines, Git, and CI/CD setups.
• Familiarity with streaming and real-time data technologies such as Kafka or Spark Streaming.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of robust data pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Collaborate with merchandisers, data scientists, engineers, and application developers to set the technical direction for the data platform.
• Establish and uphold data engineering best practices while mentoring team members.
• Explore technological options to optimize solutions and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
