Senior Claims Manager

Job summary

The Senior Claims Manager is responsible for leading the claims strategy and managing dispute resolution activities for offshore wind projects. This role involves close collaboration with project management and procurement teams to ensure successful outcomes in claims management.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a commercial subject, legal, engineering, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in claims management and commercial roles in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in offshore wind.
• Proven track record in managing complex disputes and arbitration processes.
• In-depth knowledge of FIDIC and LOGIC contracts.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial contract experience.
• Ability to interpret contractual and claims management topics effectively.
• Good understanding of construction terminology and project timelines.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to present information clearly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire claims process and collaborate with the Project Management team.
• Define and implement claims strategies, including negotiation and escalation paths.
• Draft and manage claim notices and related documentation.
• Collaborate with external experts for delay analyses and technical evaluations.
• Lead settlement negotiations and manage escalations to formal dispute resolution.
• Manage administrative aspects of claim management.
• Support final account calculations and contract close-out processes.
• Provide support to Package and Commercial Contract Managers on commercial matters.
