Senior BI Architect (Remote, Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves taking ownership of a global Data & BI architecture within a large organization, focusing on creating a scalable and secure data platform that supports advanced analytics and self-service BI. The position emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective data governance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in BI architecture or similar roles within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in BI development and architecture.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, preferably Azure-based.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for consulting and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the global Data & BI architecture.
• Ensure a scalable and secure platform throughout the data lifecycle.
• Define and enforce standards for BI development, data models, and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Solution Leads, IT architects, and business stakeholders.
• Promote transparency and self-service through effective documentation and governance.

Skills

• Strong technical depth in BI architecture and development.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, global environment.
• Experience with self-service BI and advanced analytics or AI use cases is a plus.

Education

• Relevant degree in a related field is preferred but not specified.

Tools

• Proficiency in Azure data and analytics services, SQL-based data warehousing, Inspari Toolkit, and Tableau.
