Senior Backend Engineer (Technology, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves contributing to a digital content discovery platform, focusing on backend development and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Typescript.
• Advanced skills in API development and management, including GraphQL.
• Deep experience with AWS/Azure or other cloud providers.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize CI/CD processes.
• Strong background in data integration and database management.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative environment.
• Eagerness to learn and drive continuous improvement.
• Advanced experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling, such as Terraform or CDK.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture patterns.

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of best practices in development and mentor engineers.
• Architect and deliver complex features with a focus on robustness and scalability.
• Champion quality and security across the codebase, implementing necessary strategies.
• Spearhead initiatives to enhance CI/CD methodologies and optimize the delivery pipeline.
• Take full ownership of projects from conception to deployment.

Skills

• Innovative mindset and ability to challenge the status quo.
• Nice to have: Experience with Java/C# and/or Rust, and managing search solutions with OpenSearch/Elastic.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and IaC tools (Terraform, CDK).
