About the role

Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing computational physics problems that simulate real research workflows. Contributors will create Python-based problems that require complex reasoning and are computationally intensive.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching.
  • Experience with numerical simulation methods and physics modeling techniques.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

  • Design original computational physics problems based on real research challenges.
  • Ensure problems require Python programming to solve, using libraries such as Numpy and SciPy.
  • Develop problems that involve non-trivial reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Document problem statements and provide verified solutions.

Skills

  • Creative problem design across various physics areas.
  • Ability to mirror real physics research workflows in problem creation.

Education

  • Degree in Physics or related field.

Tools

  • Python, Numpy, SciPy, and other relevant programming libraries.
