Job summary

This is a 2-year position focused on enzyme purification within a collaborative research and development environment. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, supporting a diverse portfolio of over 56 projects annually, and emphasizes quality and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Education as a laboratory technician.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory work and purification equipment.
  • Solid experience operating ÄKTA systems and writing methods in Unicorn software.
  • Proficient in basic protein characterization using SDS-PAGE and/or LabChip plus NanoDrop.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks.
  • Structured and quality-focused approach to laboratory work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate ÄKTA PURE and ÄKTA Avant purification systems.
  • Program and run purification methods in Unicorn 7.10 or newer versions.
  • Ensure alignment with stakeholders on purification tasks and timelines.
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with scientists.
  • Actively contribute as a team player in a laboratory setting.

Skills

  • Experience in a research or R&D laboratory environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Tecan programming and Brooks robotic freezer maintenance.
  • Hands-on fermentation experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Education

  • Laboratory technician diploma required.
