Job summary

This position involves developing and validating a synchronized LoRa mesh protocol for autonomous data collection in off-grid Arctic environments, focusing on environmental monitoring and emergency services. The role requires close collaboration with hardware and extensive fieldwork in Greenland.

Qualifications

• Academic background in synchronized LoRa mesh networking.
• Strong knowledge of the STM32 embedded environment, particularly the STM32WL series.
• Experience in building network simulation tools using C++.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a synchronized LoRa mesh protocol for low-power data collection.
• Develop and test embedded firmware on STM32WL hardware, including its sub-GHz radio.
• Maintain and extend a custom C++ network simulator for protocol evaluation.
• Plan and support field deployments in Arctic locations.
• Coordinate technical deliverables and reporting with partner institutions.
• Contribute to project documentation and technical guidelines.

Education

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
