Job summary

Seeking a Quantum Operations Engineer with expertise in software and firmware engineering to support and enhance quantum computing systems in Copenhagen. This role involves bridging atomic physics with high-performance control systems, ensuring the reliability and stability of quantum operations.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency in software development using C++, Python, or Rust.
  • Experience with real-time systems, FPGA design (VHDL/Verilog), or NVIDIA CUDA.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with a diverse team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software co-designs in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, commission, troubleshoot, and enhance scientific hardware and control interfaces for quantum computing.
  • Optimize low-latency software for stable quantum operations.
  • Manage orchestration layers for synchronized quantum control operations.
  • Identify failure modes and improve system reliability and uptime.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Skills

  • Strong background in software and firmware engineering.
  • Experience in quantum control flows and production-ready code development.

Tools

  • Familiarity with GPUs, FPGAs, and custom electronics for quantum control.
