Project Engineer (Hørsholm)

Job summary

The role involves customizing and delivering advanced automation systems for commercial vessels, focusing on retrofit projects. The Project Engineer will engage in all project phases from presales to final handover, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality and efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Technical education in marine engineering, automation technology, electronics, or a related discipline.
• Several years of relevant experience in automation or control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and program automation systems based on specific vessel requirements using proprietary software tools.
• Customize software and databases by integrating specific values, signals, and parameters.
• Maintain project documentation, including functional descriptions, test protocols, and drawings for approval.
• Test and debug systems during engineering and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide technical advice on design changes and assist with quality or design issues.
• Support project planning to balance stakeholder expectations with quality and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with quality and security procedures.

Skills

• Familiarity with SCADA/SRO systems, IEC 61131-3 languages, and communication protocols (Modbus, CANbus, IEC61162).
• Knowledge of platform equipment (pumps, valves, switchgear) and design tools (AutoCAD, Eplan, SolidWorks).
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and effective in team collaboration.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.

Education

• Technical education in marine engineering, automation technology, electronics, or a related field.

Tools

• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Eplan, and SolidWorks.
