Product Design Mechanical Engineer

Job summary

The role involves designing and developing next-generation hardware for AI-driven patient monitoring, overseeing the mechanical design from concept to mass production. The position requires a physical presence in Copenhagen, Denmark, to facilitate close collaboration and efficient iteration cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and manufacturing enterprise or consumer electronic products.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
• Hands-on experience in building and testing hardware.
• Familiarity with working with part vendors on design for manufacturing (DFM), tooling, and validation.
• Comprehensive product development experience.
• Strong passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly hardware.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience with overseas supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical solutions for various product requirements, including audio, cameras, buttons, and environmental resistance.
• Lead new product development from initial proof of concept to mass production.
• Collaborate with the Electrical Engineering team to integrate electronic components into designs.
• Translate industrial design requirements into manufacturable hardware.
• Work with Industrial Design to prototype and finalize product concepts.
• Coordinate with mechanical vendors for design for manufacturing and tooling.
• Manage tooling release and validation processes for various parts.
• Create and execute mechanical reliability test plans.
• Conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Partner with the Electrical Engineering team to guide product concepts through validation builds and into production.
