Job summary

The role involves translating cybersecurity regulations into practical engineering decisions for automation products, focusing on secure solutions for processing plants globally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Industrial Automation Engineering.
  • Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, industrial networks, instrumentation, and communication protocols.
  • Experience in secure system design, network segmentation, risk assessments, and architecture reviews.
  • Understanding of digital products, software-based automation, and system integration.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443, CRA, NIS2, or ISO/IEC 27001 is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Secure by Design and Secure by Default principles throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assess hardware, software, and digital components for compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Define security requirements and conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and impact analyses.
  • Review automation and network architectures, advising on secure PLC, SCADA, and software development practices.
  • Coordinate design reviews, validation, security testing, and support for penetration testing and compliance assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to cybersecurity regulations and support various assessments and training.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to influence stakeholders across different disciplines.

Education

  • Relevant degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and methodologies related to industrial automation.
