Principal Product Owner (Fintech)

Job summary

This role involves leading the development of key Portfolio Management capabilities within a financial technology organization. As a Principal Product Owner, you will be responsible for shaping intuitive software solutions that enhance portfolio managers' workflows and decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
• Experience in building B2B or enterprise software, preferably for asset management or front-office users.
• Strong understanding of Portfolio Management and decision-making workflows.
• Comfort with analytics, data, and financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and backlog for Portfolio Management capabilities.
• Translate portfolio manager needs into actionable product increments.
• Lead and prioritize the backlog for full-stack scrum teams, balancing value and technical health.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to shape workflows and data models.
• Build a deep understanding of portfolio manager workflows, including monitoring, risk analysis, and order execution.
• Write product briefs, user stories, and acceptance criteria focused on outcomes.
• Use feedback and data to validate priorities and iterate quickly.
• Collaborate with other Product Owners to ensure coherent workflows across product areas.
