Principal Process Engineer (Life Sciences)

Job summary

This role involves leading process design activities in the Life Sciences sector, focusing on early project phases such as feasibility studies and concept design. The position requires strong client interaction and technical communication skills.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year engineering degree or equivalent.
• Approximately 17-20 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in the Life Sciences sector is mandatory.
• Proven front-end engineering experience (feasibility, concept, basic design).
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical mindset for solving complex design challenges.
• Proficient in technical and business writing.
• Understanding of engineering, procurement, equipment design, and project interfaces.
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites.
• Knowledge of the Danish Life Science market.
• Fluency in English and a valid EU work permit.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Lead process design for Life Sciences projects including biotech and pharma.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with clients during early phases.
• Develop process flow diagrams and equipment layouts.
• Collaborate with architects and teams to position equipment.
• Analyze design challenges and recommend solutions.
• Support business development and project proposals.
• Share best practices in chemical/process engineering.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong network within the Life Sciences engineering community.
