About the role

Job summary

The Power Supply Engineer is responsible for designing and managing power supply systems, ensuring compliance and safety for railway operations. This role involves preparing documentation for installation and testing, as well as providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in electrical or power systems engineering, particularly in infrastructure or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage distribution, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), protection coordination, and electrical safety.
  • Proven ability to manage power dependencies across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review load lists, power requirements, and single-line diagrams.
  • Coordinate power availability for various equipment and review electrical designs from suppliers.
  • Conduct site surveys, inspections, and support commissioning activities.
  • Identify and mitigate power-related risks, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Provide technical authority on power calculations and escalate any safety or compliance issues.

Skills

  • Strong practical electrical safety mindset and attention to documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure during commissioning and fault investigations.

Education

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with electrical design software and tools used in power systems engineering.
