About the role

Job summary

The Quantum and Nanophotonics Section is looking for a dedicated postdoctoral researcher to contribute to a program focused on the discovery of new topological photonic phenomena through symmetry analysis and group theory. The role involves theoretical and computational work aimed at advancing the understanding of photonic topology and its applications.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Background in theoretical or computational photonics and condensed matter physics.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Experience with symmetry analysis, group theory, or topological band theory.
  • Programming experience and contributions to open-source software.
  • Excellent communication skills, evidenced by a publication record.
  • Familiarity with topological physics or inverse design/topology optimization is advantageous.
