Job summary

A 27-month postdoctoral position is available in computational chemistry, focusing on the development of advanced computational methods for CO2 valorisation. The role involves collaboration with an international team and will commence at Oslo University before transitioning to a department in Denmark.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Develop computational models for polar solvents in CO2 transformation processes.
  • Theoretically map reaction pathways through detailed solvent analysis.
  • Optimize hybrid catalytic systems using computational methods.
  • Teach and supervise BSc and MSc student projects, and disseminate research findings.

Skills

  • Strong background in organic synthesis and catalysis.
  • Experience with molecular dynamics and DFT protocols.
  • Familiarity with wave function methods, such as DLPNO-CCSD(T).

Education

  • A PhD degree in chemistry or a related discipline is required.

Tools

  • Computational chemistry software and tools for molecular dynamics and DFT calculations.
