Job summary

A postdoctoral position is available focusing on the reusability assessment of structural components within the context of circular construction. The role involves conducting research in collaboration with industry partners and other researchers, contributing to a significant research project on the green transition in the built environment.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in construction materials science or a related field.
  • Strong experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) and its application in reusability assessments.
  • Experience collaborating with various stakeholders in the construction industry.
  • Participation in EU Horizon or other large projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on non-destructive testing (NDT) for assessing the reusability of structural components.
  • Optimize NDT methods for various materials and components.
  • Develop a database and implement statistical tools and AI in research.
  • Teach and supervise BSc and MSc student projects.
  • Design research projects and write funding applications.
  • Communicate and collaborate with industrial stakeholders.

Education

  • A PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.
