Platform Engineer (Operations & Maintenance, Hørsholm/Aarhus/Gdynia)

Job summary

The role involves ensuring the reliable, secure, and continuous operation of the MUSE Offshore Wind Monitoring Platform across various customer sites. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving the deployed systems that collect environmental data to support offshore wind development and wildlife protection.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux systems in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms and containerized services.
• Familiarity with networking technologies, VPNs, firewalls, and remote access solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Ability to automate operational tasks using scripting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain deployed MUSE platforms to ensure continuous availability and performance.
• Investigate and resolve incidents related to infrastructure and applications.
• Manage observability platforms and respond to operational issues proactively.
• Maintain and test backup and recovery procedures, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Develop automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support installation and commissioning activities at customer locations as needed.

Skills

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Familiarity with Proxmox, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki is a plus.
• Knowledge of SCADA integrations and industrial cybersecurity concepts is advantageous.

Education

A background in engineering, IT infrastructure, industrial automation, electronics, or a related technical field is preferred.

Language

Professional working proficiency in English is required.
