Qualifications

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or an equivalent academic qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate single-photon emitters and characterize them in a quantum-optical laboratory.
  • Build optical setups for device characterization at cryogenic temperatures.
  • Conduct spectroscopy and optical imaging of quantum emitters.
  • Perform advanced coherent excitation of individual emitters using picosecond laser pulses.
  • Execute quantum-optical characterization of devices, including testing single-photon purity and indistinguishability.
  • Present results to the group and engage in discussions with the theoretical team.
  • Co-supervise BSc and MSc student projects.

Skills

  • Experience with quantum emitters in layered transition-metal dichalcogenides and semiconductor quantum dots.
  • Proficiency in building and operating optical setups for cryogenic experiments.

Education

  • A master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Tools

  • Access to state-of-the-art quantum-optical characterization equipment, including closed-cycle cryostats, tunable femtosecond laser systems, spectrometers, and superconducting single-photon detectors.
