About the role

Job summary

Two fully funded PhD positions are available focusing on prioritization in health care, starting September 2026. Candidates will engage in quantitative research to elicit citizens' preferences and assess the implications of health care disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, health economics, data science, public health, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in quantitative methods, including statistical analysis and econometrics.
  • Experience in survey design and preference elicitation techniques is a plus.
  • Familiarity with causal inference methods and health care data analysis is desirable.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous research experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the consequences of medical disruptions for patient health and health system performance.
  • Elicit citizens’ valuations of supply security and health improvements using stated preference methods.
  • Explore efficiency-equity trade-offs and the role of altruism in shaping preferences.

Education

Salary and Working Conditions

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • PhD fellows will receive a base salary of DKK 374,912.98, with additional benefits as per the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations agreement.
