Job summary

A PhD position is available to investigate the impact of screen-use on preschool children's school-readiness, as part of a nationwide cohort study in Denmark. The role involves collaboration with a research team and an extended research stay at Deakin University.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree equivalent to a Danish master’s in public health, epidemiology, psychology, or related fields.
  • In-depth experience in epidemiology, programming, and statistical analyses, preferably in R or STATA.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a PhD project.
  • Strong motivation for research in child health and screen-use implications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct empirical research on preschool screen-use and its effects on school-readiness.
  • Collaborate with senior researchers and peers in interdisciplinary studies.
  • Engage in data collection and analysis using Danish registries.

Skills

  • Research experience in public health, epidemiology, or psychology.
  • Documented experience in writing and publishing scientific papers.
  • Familiarity with cohort studies and register linkage.

Education

  • Relevant master's degree required.

Tools
