Patent Paralegal (Renewable Energy, Aarhus/Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves supporting the management and protection of intellectual property within a dynamic patent team in the renewable energy sector. The position requires collaboration with European Patent Attorneys and focuses on efficient patent administration and strategic IP decision-making.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a patent paralegal
• Qualified IP Administrator (QIPA) or equivalent certifications/experience
• Experience in filing DK, EP, and PCT patent applications
• Familiarity with foreign patent agencies and prosecution processes
• Strong understanding of patent formalities and administrative procedures
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage docketing-related communications and deadlines in the case management system
• Handle patent-related formalities including filings, validations, and correspondence with inventors and partners
• Coordinate with patent authorities and foreign agencies on filings and prosecution
• Assist patent attorneys in portfolio management and administrative tasks
• Contribute to the improvement and implementation of departmental procedures and guidelines
• Maintain and optimize the case management system and prepare internal IP reports
• Ensure compliant handling of patent processes across jurisdictions
