O&M Technical Support Engineer (Offshore Wind)

Job summary

The role involves providing second-line technical support for offshore wind sites, focusing on Vestas turbine platforms. The engineer will analyze technical issues, support troubleshooting, and contribute to the reliability and performance of the offshore wind fleet.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in technical operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, or engineering within wind energy or a complex technical environment.
• Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with wind turbine systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems, with experience in fault finding and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with technical documentation and operational tools such as SCADA, SAP PM, or other CMMS solutions.
• Strong communication skills in English, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly in an international setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to operational or offshore sites.

Responsibilities

• Assess and resolve technical requests from offshore wind sites using ticketing systems and operational data.
• Analyze recurring alarms and technical trends to identify platform issues and support reliability improvements.
• Support remote troubleshooting by guiding site teams using SCADA and technical documentation.
• Create and maintain standardized technical solutions and troubleshooting instructions for offshore sites.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure appropriate technical input for operational decisions.
• Provide technical input for future projects and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.
