Network Engineer (IT, Remote/Denmark)

Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
• Several years of practical experience in network engineering
• CCNA certification required; CCNP or other relevant certifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, development, and security of network infrastructure
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions
• Diagnose and resolve network issues to minimize downtime
• Manage and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions
• Conduct regular maintenance, upgrades, and security updates
• Implement firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies
• Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Document configurations, changes, and procedures
• Collaborate closely with IT colleagues and support internal users

Skills

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VPN technologies, and network monitoring tools
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment and enterprise firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto)
• Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and confidently
• Structured approach to problem-solving under pressure
