Meta is looking for an experienced Public Policy Manager to join our Nordic policy team. Our team works collaboratively with the government affairs, communications, legal and product policy teams to communicate Meta's positions on policy issues and develop policy-relevant programs that support Meta's mission and priorities. We develop and execute regional strategies that shape the digital policy landscape in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland. Our work focuses on policy issues including AI and emerging technologies, youth safety, privacy and data protection, economic opportunity and content regulation. This is a 24-month fixed term contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Meta teams on important policy developments and sentiment in the Nordics, including on issues such as AI and emerging technologies, youth safety, privacy and data protection, content regulation, and the broader macro environment
  • Be part of the Nordic policy team, contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Develop strategies to advocate for Meta's policy positions in the Nordics, based on an understanding of Meta's apps, services, policies and priorities
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators and key stakeholders in the Nordic countries
  • Represent Meta at external policy events and speaking engagements across Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland
  • Work with internal partners across product policy, communications, legal and other teams to develop clear and coherent policy positions and translate these into regional strategies
  • Support the development of policy programs and initiatives that further Meta's mission in the region


Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience developing and executing policy strategies
  • Experience building relationships with government officials, regulators and policy stakeholders
  • Understanding of the Nordic political and regulatory landscape
  • Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language (Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish)
  • Relevant educational background such as Political Science, Social Science, Law or related field
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams on complex policy issues


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technology policy issues including AI, privacy and data protection, and content regulation
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience prioritizing competing policy workstreams based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs
  • Experience working on youth safety policy issues
  • Experience in government, with government institutions, politics or key trade organizations an advantage
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Ability to travel to Nordic countries as needed
