Mechanical QA/QC Engineer

Job summary

This position involves overseeing mechanical quality assurance and control for site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards. The role is crucial for maintaining quality and safety expectations throughout the installation, commissioning, and handover phases of construction projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a Quality Engineer / QA-QC role on large-scale construction projects, with at least 2 years focused on MEP or mechanical installations.
• Experience with data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or similar high-spec projects.
• Proven track record in managing a certified Quality Management System, including document control and procedure updates.
• Hands-on experience with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and work packs.
• Audit experience, including planning and leading vendor and internal audits.
• Experience in raising and resolving non-conformances (NCRs) and supporting project handovers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Responsible Manager for company KLS-A VVS-FUL authorisation and maintain the Quality Management System.
• Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Project Team to meet quality objectives.
• Report to the quality manager and work with the site team.
• Implement quality vision, goals, and strategies.
• Verify compliance with contractual requirements and oversee contractor documentation.
• Conduct quality audits and assessments of vendors and contractors.
• Produce reports and manage KPI information.

Education

• Recognised VVS-installatør qualification or equivalent EU-recognised trade/engineering qualification.
• Degree, higher diploma, or trade apprenticeship in Mechanical, Building Services, or Plumbing/HVAC engineering.
• Formal quality qualification such as ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.

Tools

• Familiarity with Dalux and client cx platforms for managing quality issues and documentation.
