Job summary

The role involves leading on-site mechanical activities for construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. The position is based in Dublin and requires a proactive individual who can manage teams effectively.

Qualifications

  • Trade certification or relevant third-level qualification in engineering, construction management, or a similar field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in delivering medium-to-large mechanical installation projects with proven site leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements and safety file management.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain project safety documentation and monitor on-site EHS performance.
  • Create and manage mechanical QA records and enforce workmanship standards.
  • Develop and maintain the mechanical workstream schedule and provide regular progress updates.
  • Manage the mechanical cost ledger and coordinate with the commercial team for invoicing changes.
  • Supervise daily mechanical activities and resolve on-site conflicts.
  • Plan and monitor subcontractor output and chair weekly progress meetings.
  • Operate the project snagging process and ensure timely closure of punch lists.
  • Prepare weekly progress reports highlighting delays and risks.
  • Assess and document programme and cost impacts from changes.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent with project reporting tools and MS Office.
  • Ability to manage large-scale, fast-moving site programmes.

Education

  • Relevant trade certification or third-level qualification in engineering or construction management.
