Mechanical Engineering Student Assistant (Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves supporting the development of next-generation quantum processor manufacturing as a Mechanical Engineering Student Assistant in Copenhagen. The position is part of a collaborative team focused on pioneering chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for quantum processors.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with 3D CAD design, preferably using Autodesk Inventor.
• Ability to create and maintain 2D technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Understanding of basic mechanical design principles for metal components and assemblies.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing methods such as CNC milling, turning, laser cutting, and 3D printing.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies to support ongoing R&D and engineering projects.
• Participate in assembling prototypes, installing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting experimental setups.
• Handle hands-on activities such as cleaning, engraving, labeling, organizing, maintaining, and preparing mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Assist in establishing best practices and improving engineering workflows.
