Mechanical Engineer

Job summary

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design process for various product lines in a cutting-edge quantum computing environment. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and external manufacturers to ensure high-quality production and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
• Experience in box building and industrial research & development.
• Expertise in 3D printing for rapid prototyping and iteration.
• Familiarity with CE and other certification processes is beneficial.
• Experience with thermal analysis using Icepack is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to generate and validate new concepts quickly.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for managing complex designs.
• Self-motivated and capable of driving projects independently while meeting deadlines.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and effective communication skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English; Danish is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process from concept to completion for various products.
• Design and develop hardware assemblies, including heat sinks and panels for electronic circuits.
• Create hardware assemblies for test and measurement equipment, ensuring manufacturability and integration of electrical components.
• Prototype and iterate designs using 3D printing and hands-on adjustments prior to full-scale manufacturing.
• Collaborate with external manufacturers and suppliers to ensure quality production.
• Work closely with a team of physicists, mechanical engineers, electronics engineers, and project managers to achieve project goals.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, focusing on execution and proactive problem-solving.
• Contribute to team innovation and problem-solving through active participation.
