Mechanical Engineer

Job summary

This role involves contributing to the development of innovative hearing solutions through micro-mechanical design and product development. The position is part of a hands-on team focused on creating and improving hearing instruments, utilizing advanced prototyping and testing facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in an R&D environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, particularly PTC Creo.
• Familiarity with robust design methods, including tolerance stack-ups and design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Experience in designing for injection molding is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in medical device development or similar regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive micro-mechanical development from concept to realization.
• Create parts and systems designs in 3D CAD.
• Simulate models and evaluate technical solutions collaboratively.
• Build and test prototypes using in-house tools.
• Plan and execute design work, including reviews and documentation.
• Provide guidance to colleagues and support daily planning activities.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and competence building within the team.
• Improve internal processes in mechanical development.

Skills

• Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience with mechanical concept development and integration of electronics.
• Knowledge of GPS and 2D specifications.
• Familiarity with mechanical simulation techniques.

Education

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field is required.

Tools

• PTC Creo or similar 3D CAD software.
